Civil War US “Bullseye” Canteen - Inventory Number: CAN 112 / SOLD

Civil War Union 7-ring canteen. This is the classic style known to collectors as the "Bullseye” pattern with the reinforcement rings stamped on each side. It still has all three of the original strap loops present. The pewter spout bears the maker’s mark of Hadden, Porter & Booth, a Philadelphia tin and hardware firm that delivered hundreds of thousands of canteens throughout the entire war. The canteen has a couple of minor dings and light rust in places. A representative and well used Civil War canteen.
