“This fan was owned by Mrs. Annie Suratt, a second cousin of Mrs. Floyd Hall, 635 Cherry St. S.E. John Wilkes Booth roomed with Mrs. Suratt and her daughter, who were held for the assassination of Abraham Lincoln but were later found innocent of all charges. Hanged 1865” Pencil notation states: “James O. Hall / Falls Church”.
