New York “S.N.Y.” Belt Buckle Battle of Fredericksburg, VA - Inventory Number: BEL 349 / SOLD

State of New York (SNY) belt plate with the “puppy paw” studs. There are normal dings and marks from honest use and exposure but a very nice example.  The lead on the back is solid with both studs and hooks present.  This pattern was used by pre-war NY militia regiments which were activated and placed under Federal control during the war. A very attractive and representative example. 

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
