Three sections of cloth from one of the funeral biers on which Abraham Lincoln’s casket laid. One 13” section of black crape is folded in half and has a period note pinned to it that reads “Lincoln’s Bier.” The second section of black crape measures 9” and has a pinned blue paper note with red ink that reads “piece of crape from Lincoln’s bier.” There is also a piece of white silk that measures about 4” in length. A wonderful and rare collection of items from Abraham Lincoln’s funeral.
Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
