Presentation Grade Model 1850 Foot Officer’s Sword

Wonderful imported high grade 1850 Foot Officer’s sword. The grip is finely crafted of silver with brass wire and bullion wrapping. The guard is the classic 1850 regulation floral pattern with a lovely uncleaned patina. The 31” blade is bright and nick free with areas of light pitting and is acid etched with martial and floral designs. “U.S.” is etched on one side of the blade and “E. PLUSIBUS UNUM” on the other. The scabbard is steel with brass mounts that have a deep, uncleaned patina. One officer’s belt swivel snap remains on one of the scabbard rings. A beautiful presentation grade Civil War officer’s sword.
