Sheffield “Army” Straight Razor

Horn handled straight razor marked “JOHN HEIFFOR / PARADISE SQUARE / SHEFFIELD” on one side of the tang, and “MADE FOR THE ARMY” on the other. The blade is bright, very sharp and in excellent condition. The horn handle has one glued repair but remains in good condition. The original, coffin shaped cardboard case is embossed “THE ARMY RAZOR” and “MADE ONLY BY JOHN HEIFFOR PARADISE SQUARE SHEFFIELD.” Name lightly incised on the handle, may be deciphered with farther research.  An excellent Civil War soldier’s razor for a camp or personal effects display. 

Comes housed in a 12 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
