Smith’s Patent Shoulder Boards 2nd lieutenant of Cavalry - Inventory Number: INS 274 / SOLD
Smith’s patent straps featured a stamped brass false embroidered frame with velvet background and proved very popular with Union officers during the Civil War. This pair is in great condition with the yellow velvet background for cavalry and are backed with dark blue cloth with brass attachment loops. A fine pair of cavalry officer’s insignia.
Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with black velvet backing and descriptive card.
