By the Presbyterian Board of Publication in Philadelphia in 1861. The softcover booklet meas. approx. 3.25 x 4.75 inches and runs 64 pages.

Covers are stiff dark colored paper with embossed scroll decoration and “THE SOLDIER’S POCKET BOOK” in strong gold ink stamped on the front cover which shows minor light wear.

Binding is good. Pages have browned some with age. Book contains prayers, hymns, and Psalms.

Daniel S. Patterson - Residence Columbia County PA; Enlisted on 11/4/1862 as a Private into "A" Co. PA 178th Infantry. He was Mustered Out on 7/27/1863.

Comes housed in 12 x 8 riker display case with black velvet and descriptive card.
