1902 Camp George G. Meade Gettysburg Souvenir Medal – Inventory Number: GET 382 / SOLD Camp George G. Meade was one of the Gettysburg Battlefield camps for Pennsylvania National Guard training of the Keystone Division, July 12-19, 1902. This medal was struck in commemoration of the George G. Meade camp. The bronze cross has a gilt medallion at center depicting a turn of the century U.S. soldier. The reverse of the medallion is struck with a nearly microscopic Lord’s Prayer. The medallion hangs from a red, white, and blue silk ribbon with “N.G.P. /CAMP /Geo G. Meade, / GETTYSBURG, PA. / JULY 12-19th, /1902, suspended from a bronze pin bar marked “SOUVENIR.” The medal measures 3 ¾” in total height. A scarce commemorative Gettysburg encampment medal. Comes housed in a 6 x 5 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card. Inventory Number: GET 382 / SOLD
