Cooper Double Action Revolver

 

Bright .36 caliber bore. Five-shot rebated cylinder and 4″ octagon barrel. The barrel is well marked on top “COOPER FIREARMS MFG Co FRANKFORD PHILA PA” along with patent dates. The barrel has traces of original blue finish, probably about 35-40% in protected areas. Dull color casehardening remains on the loading lever. Serial number 7,173 all matching on the cylinder, backstrap and barrel. The bore is remarkably bright and shiny. Traces of blue finish remain in protected areas on the cylinder but is mostly mixed blue and patina. Double action works perfectly when barrel. The frame is mostly plumb, with color casehardening. One piece walnut grip is very good with lots of the original varnish. The brass backstrap and trigger-guard are in fine condition. Overall condition is very good plus.
