Description
U.S. Civil War Belt Plate with Arrowhead Hooks (Non-Excavated)
Non-excavated example of a regulation Model 1839 U.S. enlisted waist belt plate, featuring the bold raised “U.S.” oval motif on a rolled brass face with attractive, even patina. The lead-filled back retains its full complement of arrowhead style belt hooks and tongue. A strong representative of the standard Federal issue plate worn by Union soldiers throughout the war, this example remains well-preserved, showing only light age toning from storage.
Comes housed in 6 x 8 riker display case with blue velvet and descriptive card.
