1890s McSherrystown, Pennsylvania Fire Company Ribbon – Inventory Number: GET 381 1890s vintage 5 ¾” by 2” blue ribbon made for the McSherrystown, Pennsylvania Fire Engine Hook and Ladder Company. The ribbon is suspended from a stamped brass pin bar and bears a celluloid pin depicting a fireman rescuing a young child from a burning building. The back of the ribbon still retains the paper label from “The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Badges, Buttons, Banners and Advertising Novelties. Newark, New Jersey.” A nice piece of vintage firefighting memorabilia from the Gettysburg area.
