A striking and historically rich presentation featuring authentic strands of Aaron Burr’s hair and a fragment of the spectacle case carried by Alexander Hamilton at the time of the famous 1804 duel. Beautifully framed with portraits of both men, facsimile clipped signatures, and a detailed plaque recounting one of the most consequential personal and political rivalries in American history.

 

Alexander Hamilton (1755–1804), Founding Father and former Secretary of the Treasury, and Aaron Burr (1756–1836), Vice President of the United States, maintained a long and bitter political feud. After years of tension, Burr challenged Hamilton, leading to the most famous duel in American history, fought on July 11, 1804. Hamilton was fatally wounded, dying the next day.

 

A truly rare and impressive piece linking two towering figures of early America and one of the most dramatic moments in U.S. history.
