British Volunteer Bayonet – Inventory Number: BAY 162 / SOLD Ca. 1795 Pattern Bayonet. This piece has sabre-type blade mounted to a collared L – mortised socket over exceptionally large blade and is one of the many variations used by volunteer companies of that era.  Overall length approx.  27”, socket length 4”, blade length 23”, blade width 1-1/4”, Socket O.D. 1 – 3/8”, Socket I.D. Nearly 1”. Has a false edge-like by the front top of blade. Inventory Number: BAY 162 / SOLD
