Description

Cavalry Officer’s Saber – Sold Top of the blade is Marked: Klingenthal.   Very nice example with decorative foliate on guard, branches and pommel cap.   Blade is the Model 1840 pattern and unetched.   The sharkskin grip is in fine condition with minor wear from use, the original twisted brass wire is lacking.   The original scabbard is smooth and has a nice pleasing light patina, as does the three branch brass guard.   A very affordable example of the Cavalry officer’s saber!
