Civil War Eagle Breast Plate, Boyd & Sons, Boston – Inventory Number:  BEL 404 / SOLD Original non -excavated Civil War eagle cross belt plate constructed of stamped brass with lead fill.  These plates adorned the cartridge box shoulder sling. This example is maker marked “BOYD & SONS. BOSTON” on the reverse and retains both iron loops, one of which is slightly bent. A nice, marked example. Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.    Inventory Number:  BEL 404 / SOLD
