Civil War Infantry Hat Cord – Inventory Number: UNI 184 / SOLD Blue wool Infantry hat cord in excellent condition. Tassels are present. The hat cord was meant for wear on the 1858 Dress or Hardee Hat also known as the Jeff Davis Hat or Hardee Hat. Made of worsted wool. These were issued with the Hardee hats, which were technically dress hats, but were worn in the field, often being altered into more comfortable hats or replaced by non-regulation slouch hats procured by the soldiers.
