Civil War Musket Worm – Inventory Number: FIR 129 / SOLD This is an excellent original gun worm for a Civil War era rifle.  Used for the cleaning out of the musket bore.  Would have held a wad of tow (the fiber of flax, hemp or jute).  This tow was then used for regular maintenance of bore cleaning.  Could also be used for the extracting a bullet if there was a problem with firing or any other reason needed to pull the bullet out.    *To purchase this item directly with a credit card, please click on this link.
