Civil War era packet of “Six Broux Skin Cartridges” for .36 caliber belt revolvers, marked for use in Colt, Whitney, or Remington revolvers.

 

Label notes the cartridges as “Impervious to Dampness” and references Hayes’ Patent and Storms’ U.S. Patent, October 1861. Sold by W.J. Syms & Bro., 300 Broadway, New York.

 

An attractive and desirable complete revolver cartridge pack with strong typography and broad maker/revolver compatibility. Excellent display piece for a .36 caliber Colt, Whitney, or Remington revolver grouping.
