Civil War Tin Shaving Cup & Original Soap Carried by a Soldier of a West Virginia Regiment – Inventory Number:  CAM 489 / SOLD Classic wartime shaving mug of steel with tinned plating and exposed solder.  This sturdy example features the side compartment for the razor with a hole for drainage. An original piece of soap remains inside the cup, and an old typewritten tag wired to the handle reads “carried by a West Virginia regiment.” The cup measures 3 ¾” tall and 3 ¼” wide.
