Civil War Whiskey Flask  

 

Traveling glass, pewter and leather whiskey flask. The pewter base is a detachable drinking cup. 

 

These were favored among officers of both sides and readily seen in camp images of the war.  This example retains the original threaded cap. The condition is overall good with a split to the seam on one side. 

 

Measures approximately 6 3/4”.
