Confederate ¼ Plate Ambrotype – Inventory Number: CON 491 / SOLD Very nice glass ambrotype of a Confederate soldier. The uniform is Confederate and likely from North Carolina.  The frock coat is constructed of a coarse butternut weave with dark colored cuff facings and shoulder tabs.  Housed in a gutta percha case with brilliant blue velvet pad and edging.  The case is damaged but displays well from the front, closes and the clasps function properly.  A very nice original image of a hard-fought looking rebel soldier!
