Confederate Artillery Short Sword by W J. McElroy – Inventory Number: CON 351 Distinctive Confederate foot artillery short sword manufactured by W J. McElroy of Macon, Georgia. The cast brass grip has recessed quillons that show milling marks. The sword has the typical McElroy unfullered blade, which is in semi-relic “barn find” condition and has a fair amount of play within the grip. The original leather washer at the base of the blade is still intact. The overall length of the sword is 22.
