Confederate North Carolina Hat Insignia

 

Rare Confederate infantry hinting horn device with field altered button fashioned into an insignia depicting the state seal of North Carolina Original ink tag from the Museum display sates: “Infantry Cap Badge – Gaines Mills.” This is the only documented North Carolina hat insignia we have encountered in our nearly 40 years.  Comes housed in 6 x 8 riker display case with black velvet and descriptive card.
