Confederate Tactics Manual for Infantry Cavalry and Artillery, The “Science of War” – Inventory Number: CON 101 / Sold Original hardcover copy of “TACTICS FOR OFFICERS OF THE INFANTRY, CAVALRY AND ARTILLERY” arranged and compiled by L. V. Buckholtz.  The book measures approximately 3.75 x 6.00 inches and runs 121 pages 108 pages remaining.  Covers are done in red cloth with an embossed flag and crest motif above which is embossed “SCIENCE OF WAR.” Covers are dirty with light wear at corners.  Title page bears a faint pencil inscription and the first page has printed endorsements by Captain Charles Dimmock and Colonel C. Q. Thompkins.  Volume has no drawings or maps.  Volume was printed by “J. W. Randolph, 121 Main St, Richmond, Va. 1861.”  Inventory Number: CON 101 / Sold
