Cutlery Handled Bowie Knife

 

Unique spearpoint knife with German silver “cutlery” handle.  The blade measures 10” long and the knife is an impressive 14 ¾” overall.  The blade resembles that of a Confederate pike blade modified to fit a cutlery handle.   The handle now boasts an impressive and balanced weight as it was filled with lead when the larger blade was added.  A very neat wartime alteration into a fighting weapon!
