Deluxe Foot Officer’s Sword – Inventory Number: SWO 141 / Sold  Very ornate example by Saubier of Newark, NJ.   Mounts are superbly executed with an American eagle, federal shield bearing “U.S.” and stars as well as profuse floral panels.   The grip is shagreen with triple strand of wire.   Blade retains most of its original frosting with patriotic elements on both sides.   Overall a very pretty example of the Civil War Officer’s sword.
