Description

Dispatch Case – Black leather two-compartment case with buckle closure.  Measures 6 x 8 inches with an adjustable leather strap which is secured with a buckle, and is about 52 inches in length.  Purchased from James Dronenburg, Frederick, MD, in 1954, with stated origin near Gettysburg, PA.  Identified as “Confederate Dispatch Case.” Ex: James R. Weitzel Collection.  Inventory Number: CON 013 / SOLD
