Eagle Sword Belt Plate – Inventory Number: BEL 344 / SOLD Model 1851 eagle plate with remnants of silver wreath.  Accompanied by its original keeper and an iron hook device that is tied to the pate with period checkered fabric.  The plate was found in Maine and the owners name was said to be “J. Hill” a cursory search of Maine soldiers show 34 possible candidates.
