Excavated  U.S. Belt Plate, from Falmouth, Virginia – Inventory Number: BEL 368 / SOLD Dug U.S. enlistedman’s belt buckle with a green, deep woods patina. Complete with “puppy paw” attachment studs and a smooth lead back. There is a very slight vertical bend to the plate. A nice early war style belt buckle. Excavated in Falmouth, Virginia, site of the Army of the Potomac’s encampment during the winter of 1862-1863.
