Union Veteran Button, “GAR”, officer staff, Backmark varies(23mm).  Grand Army of the Republic was formed after the war representing Union veterans.

 

Script GAR upon lined field.  Backmark:  varies, we have a large selection of GAR buttons and related items, if you are seeking a specific backmark, please contact directly, otherwise a nice quality authentic button will be selected upon order.  Three part staff officer style button, coat size, gilded.   All non-dug examples.    Reference: Albert VN3 to VN7   Manufactured after the Civil War.
