Generals of the C.S. Army” – Matched Pair of 19th-Century Confederate Portrait Prints

(Plates No. 1 & No. 2)

Striking matched pair of original Civil War-era lithograph prints titled “Generals of the C.S. Army”, each featuring detailed portrait images of Confederate generals. These prints, marked Plate No. 1 and Plate No. 2, showcase dozens of Confederate leaders in a decorative oval arrangement, with their names printed below each image. Each plate was photographed and published by George P. Hall & Son, New York, and represents a visually impressive and historically significant reference to the Confederate command structure during the Civil War. Generals such as Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, James Longstreet, Braxton Bragg, P.G.T. Beauregard, and others are included.  Condition: Both sheets show age-appropriate wear including edge toning, creasing, foxing, and water stains, most prominently along the lower margins. The portraits remain sharp and legible. These companion prints are rarely found as a complete pair and would make an exceptional addition to any Civil War collection or historical display.
