New York at Gettysburg Medal 1913 – 50th Anniversary Gettysburg Medal.  Drop portion of bronze medal commemorating the Battle of Gettysburg “1863-1913.” The largest combined reunion of Civil War veterans ever held occurred at Gettysburg in 1913. This desirable Gettysburg 1913 reunion badge drop features the classic paired portraits of Generals George G. Meade and Robert E. Lee, struck in relief on a bronze Maltese-style cross. Issued for the 1913 Blue and Gray Reunion at Gettysburg, these drops were suspended from a ribbon and top bar and worn by veterans returning to the battlefield nearly 50 years after the fight.

 

Comes housed in 4 x 5 riker display case with blue velvet and descriptive card.
