Hiatt  Patent Handcuffs – Inventory Number: MIS 135 / SOLD A nice pair of 19th century Hiatt figure eight, also known as “Irish Eight” handcuffs, with drum-cylinder lock and key. Deeply stamped on one side “HIATT” and “3.” Also stamped “173” on the cuffs and matching key. Hiatt cuffs date back to 1780, and the Irish Eight was the first style issued to the Metropolitan Police of London in 1832.
