J. Adams London Revolver

One of Two Known with Engraved on barrel “United States South Thomas F. Guion New Orleans Agent” A superb and rare English-made percussion revolver by J. Adams of London, featuring the unique and historic barrel engraving: “United States South Thomas F. Guion New Orleans Agent.” Only two examples with this marking are known to exist, making this an exceptional collector’s piece..  This is a beautifully made revolver in near excellent condition. Cylinder has vivid case colors. Metal has approximately 96% original blue with some minor flaking on grip straps. Left side of frame is marked “Patent No. 1681”. The nipples are excellent. Checkered walnut grips are near excellent and is sharp except for a couple small dings. This is a top condition revolver, beautifully made, by a renowned English maker. Mechanically sound and visually striking, this revolver represents the finest in mid-19th-century British arms manufacturing. A top-condition example from a renowned English maker, enhanced by its rare Confederate-related New Orleans agent marking.
