“Jeff Davis” Hardee Hat Insignia Rare Variant – Head to Left – Three Wire – Inventory Number: INS 425 / SOLD Original stamped brass “Jeff Davis” or Hardee Hat eagle insignia used to pin up the side of the Army felt dress hat. Brass surface has a bright gold finish.  The reverse retains all three pairs of fine brass wire used on Shako hats and officer’s slouch hats alike.
