A handsome mint or token case lid, struck with a finely detailed female classical bust surrounded by the legend:

“GARNION & RORKE – LONDON”

 

This brass piece represents the lid from a small presentation or storage case produced by Garnion & Rorke, a London maker known for manufacturing medal, coin, and token cases during the 1840s–1860s. These cases typically held commemorative medals, award tokens, mints or small precious items, and examples seldom survive with such crisp detail.
