A striking patriotic brass eagle device featuring a beautifully detailed spread-wing eagle rendered in high relief. Crafted with crisp feather detail and a powerful, forward-facing eagle’s head, this emblem captures the bold, symbolic imagery widely used throughout the mid-19th century.

These winged eagle devices were commonly seen on officer’s accoutrements, military cases, saddle equipment, fraternal sashes, and patriotic display pieces during the Civil War period. This example shows excellent depth, sharp definition, and a rich untouched brass patina. Measures 5 3/4″. No affixing devices on reverse. A handsome decorative eagle ideal for an advanced display of Union militaria, patriotic Americana, or Civil War accoutrement components.
