Scarce Leland & Co. – Massachusetts – Inventory Number:  SWO 242 / SOLD Recently de-accessed from a New England Museum, this sword features a super rare model 1840 cavalry saber blade manufactured by “Leland & Co.” Lemuel Leland operated in Sherborn, Massachusetts from 1848-1860.  The hilt is an 1840’s officer’s pattern with eagle quillon.  Appears to have been together for a very long time possibly since the era.     Inventory Number:  SWO 242 / SOLD
