Description

Spring Lancet – Sold Civil War Era Bleeder Device with original Case.  This rare spring loaded lancet is in its original case.  The lancet is brass and the blade is steel. The blade was cocked by the hook at end and released with the button on the side.As a medical therapy, bleeding or bloodletting endured for approximately 2,500 years.  It was only abandoned at the beginning of the 19th century.  Inventory Number: MED 005 / Sold
