Two Band Enfield – Inventory Number: RIF 125 / SOLD Two Band Enfield 1859 Dated Tower Original, British Pattern 1856 2-Band Rifle manufactured by Potts & Hunt of London England.  This is a “Bar-on-Band” rifle with the bayonet lug mounted on the front barrel band.  Both the Union and the Confederacy imported Enfield Rifles Muskets in large numbers during the Civil War.  They were a superior arm, equal to or better than the arms produced in the national armories of the United States.  VR Marked – Engraved buttplate.  Inventory Number: RIF 125 /SOLD
