Description

US Arrowhead Belt Plate

Civil War nondug enlistedman’s oval “US” waist belt plate retaining an attractive untouched patina and strong definition to the raised letters. The reverse is fitted with the desirable arrow-style fastening hook positioned behind the “S,”. The lead fill remains intact.

These iconic plates were worn by Federal infantry, artillery, and other enlisted troops throughout the Civil War and remain one of the most recognizable accoutrements of the Union soldier. Honest age and service wear throughout with a pleasing, uncleaned appearance that displays beautifully.
