Plate Tintype of Cavalryman - Inventory Number: HAR 101 / SOLD
Very clear image of a young double armed Cavalryman holding a model 1850 foot officer’s sword with a Whitney pocket model tucked in his belt. A company letter “C” is tinted on his kepi. Uniform appears to be a state issue, possibly New York based on the shoulder tabs. The eagle on the sword belt plate is clear, percussion cap is visible on the nipple of the revolver. Housed in a complete leatherette case.
