1/6th Plate Tintype of Union Infantry Corporal - Inventory Number: HAR 188 / SOLD

1/6th plate tintype of a seated, heavily bearded Union soldier in a frock coat adorned with corporal’s chevrons. A stamped brass infantry hunting horn insignia is visible just above the chinstrap of his forage cap. The soldier’s belt buckle and buttons have been tinted with gold paint. The image is framed in a copper patriotic themed matt with cannons, warships, flags, bayonets, and liberty caps, and housed in a hinged thermoplastic case decorated with military motifs.
