1839 Infantry Waist Belt - Inventory Number: BEL 561
Excellent condition white buff leather belt. The belt is constructed of bridle leather and is fitted with a leather keeper which has an integrally-sewn loop attached the other end is fitted with an original small “U.S.” belt plate. The face of the plate is clean and smooth with a light patina. The reverse has the original arrow hook and tongue, also 100% of the lead fill is present. Very good condition example as seen on Page 46 of the book “American Military Insignia” by Duncan Campbell. Ex: Ernie Hoxter’s collection.
