Very unusual piece of advertising with an oil on canvas painting of Abraham Lincoln marked for the Illinois Watch Co., Springfield, Illinois, and "The Lincoln Watch". Also noted 1913 and for the painter, which looks like "R. Bohurick 1913". It is in particularly good condition with minimal wear to the painting commensurate with its age. Abraham Lincoln, having owned a watch from this firm, became a marketing tool for this very unusual piece of advertising. Dimensions: Frame: 14" x 11" x 2 - 1/4". Medium: Chromolithography was a process of pigment transfer on Canvas (Not dot matrix, but applied to a wood block or copper plate similar to an etching or wood block process).
