US 3-inch Hotchkiss shell. Exterior has most of the original finish visible areas. The surface is mostly smooth but does show some light scattered pitting around the nose. Shell has three flame grooves and original fuze. An excellent excavated example. The patent information is legible and has been highlighted with white paint.
