Oval frosted glass Abraham Lincoln paperweight from the 1876 Centennial Exhibition. It was made by Gillinder and Sons and documented in Stan Gores’ “1876 Centennial Collectibles" and “The American Story Recorded in Glass” by Tracy H. Marsh. The paperweight has turned sides in frosted glass and a large clear head of Lincoln impressed in the base. The details of Lincoln’s face are fantastic. The paperweight measures 3 7/8 inches by 5 ¼ inches and 1 1/8 inches in depth. An exceptional and highly prized souvenir from the Centennial Exhibition.
