Abraham Lincoln Mourning Cockade and Ribbons - Inventory Number: POL 158 / SOLD

Wonderful ensemble of mourning items made after the assassination of President Lincoln. It features a 2.5-inch black mourning cockade with a 1-inch-tall gem albumen print of Lincoln pinned in the center. Three silk streamers of red, white and blue hang from the bottom of the cockade, with two long black silk ribbons suspended beneath the ensemble. The piece measures nearly 1 foot in length. Accompanied by an old paper collector’s tag. An excellent and historic piece of Lincoln mourning memorabilia.

 Comes housed in a 12 x 16 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
