Ames Model 1840 Musicians Sword - Inventory Number: CBN 015 / Sold

The sword has a brass hilt with a single guard with its original leather scabbard with a brass throat and brass drag. The ricasso marked on the obverse with "US / L.H.K. / 1864" in three lines. Reverse ricasso is stamped with "Made By /Ames Mfg Co / Chicopee / Mass".   Knucklebow has an inspector's mark of "LHK" stamped on the reverse of the guard.
